First things first, I would like to thank my FBF Lisa Blackshear for initiating the spark that inspired me to share this idea.
The last time that I posted, I talked a bit about how I was inspired to create The Reluctant Vegetarian UnderGround Dining Series.
Now I want to share more about the UnderGround Dining concept. One element that you can expect in an UnderGround Dining experience, is the unexpected. Up til now my element of surprise has been the exact menu. I will spend hours and hours for each event doing research and working to procure the finest that each season has to offer. Then I take great time and care to craft a dynamic menu utilizing these beautiful, fresh, local and sustainable elements into a fabulous evening of fine dining that unfolds like a symphony that will play for one night only!
While I love that aspect of spontaneity I have decided that I would like to up the ante. I would love to add new, fabulous, and unexpected locations as an additional element of surprise. Revealing only the type of venue and general locale until just a few days before the event. I have a desire to take The Reluctant Vegetarian Dining events around the globe!
To quote Jeremy Townsend of Ghetto Gourmet, the west coast based organization that some few years ago lit a spark in The RV's eye, "My ultimate dream is to tour the country like a rock band, except with dinner parties!" And I know that I will need your help to make that possible.
So here's the deal:
The ideal spot will have the following
stove
fridge
at least 20x18 feet of fairly clear space
be close to public trans
reasonable parking
I am an artist and love to connect with artists! So hit me up and send me pics and ideas of how we can make it happen. One of my many motto's, have passport, will travel!
So from now on when you hear the question Where in the World is The Reluctant Vegetarian? The answer will be, In a city near you really soon!
peace
